Dress up

Today the kids played dress up with costumes. Here are some of the interesting outfits they came up with. :)

Halloween

This week we are decorating our classroom for our Halloween party. Today we made skeletons. 

Fall is here!!

Well Fall is officially here. It has been chilly the past few days. Today we made acorns and then weaved yarn around the outside of them to practice our hand/eye coordination. Most of the kids did really well. A few complained that they didn't know how to sew and didn't think they could do it. :) They surprised themselves when they did it and enjoyed it. 

Life on the Farm

Last week we talked about Farms and how important they are to us. We talked about the animals and crops. We also talked about the long hours a farmer works each day. I asked the kids if they knew any farm animals (which I know they do). Almost everyone said their favorite farm animal was cats and dogs. :) 

Miss Ashley's birthday

On Thursday was my birthday. The kids were great. They helped Miss Merissa bake me Carmel brownies to share with everyone. I also got flowers from Nate and a scarf from Emerson. I was beyond spoiled. It was a great birthday!
