Weather week

This week we have been talking about Weather. For a fun activity. We have been using straws and cotton balls to play a cloud and wind version of air hockey. The kids love it!!! I was only planning to do it once during the week but every day they all ask to do it again. So we just added it in to our daily centers. Here are a few photos of our week. 

Meteorologist!

Today Justin Gehrts from KCRG came and talked to the kids about weather safety. He also read them a book about storms. He will be showing a picture of himself and all the Kids on the 6 o'clock news. 

Weather!!

Even though the weather is unpredictable this year. We are still talking about all the elements involving weather changes and the four seasons. For art today we made wind stocks. For our science center we have straws and cotton balls and are pretending to be the clouds and the wind. 

New learning toys!!

Our classroom got new learning toys last week. Friday with the low numbers in students we used the day to get familiar with all the new toys and how they work. 

Hills Bank

Friday Hills Bank brought in their baby chicks. They were 6 days old. They read the kids a story, let them hold and pet the chicks and gave each child a flower to take home and plant. Here are a few photos from their visit.
