You can't watch a movie without popcorn!

Today we made popcorn art for our movie and music week. The kids had to use their motor skills to put "butter" on the popcorn using an eye dropper. We also focused on writing the number 3 today for writing.

Hollywood walk of fame

Today we watched a short clip of the making of Inside Out the movie. The kids understood how a real person was making the voices for the characters but then they asked me "Who make's our voices?". After explaining to them we were real people and not a movie we moved on. This week we are writing the numbers 2 & 3 and doing small math problems using those numbers.

Music day!

This week we are talking about music and movies. Today we learned about musicals. We sang Let it Go for our song today and read the book Mary Poppins. For our centers this week we have a center for instruments. We listened to a few songs this morning and clapped to the musical beat in each song. So during centers the kids had music playing on the cd player and they tried to use an instrument and followed the beat.
