Summer fun!

This week we are talking about summer. Today I brought in bean bag boards for the kids to play with for our dramatic play center! 

Our first swim day!!!!

Today was our first swim day of the summer!! The weather was beautiful and the water was a blessing to cool us all off!!!!

Riding into Summer!!

This week has been a busy one. Why have been trying to make Father's Day gifts and introducing four new friends to our classroom. This week Jacob, Claire, Xavier and Alex C. have joined our Happy Hippo class. They have jumped right in and everyone has become instant friends. Next week we will start our summer schedule. We will have a swim day and bike day once a week throughout the summer. 

Emerson turns 6!!

Happy Birthday to our favorite 6 year old!!! We hope you have a great day Emerson!!! Thank you for the mud cups, they were delicious.

Ocean Week

We continued the Ocean theme for a second week. There are so many creatures that live in the ocean, we were not able to talk about all of them in one week. For science we made "waves in a bottle" using water, vegetable oil, glitter and blue food coloring. We have been playing with sand and seashells for a center. We have been learning and singing the song Baby Beluga in the deep blue sea. Sorry if your child is walking around he house singing it. They have been singing this song all day every day for the past two weeks. :) Here are pictures of all the art projects we have been doing for each animal we have talked about.
