Gilbert the Goldfish

Today we read a book "Gilberts Goldfish wants a Pet". For art the kids got a blank fish bowl and got to create anything they wanted inside with their own handprint fish.

This week we are talking about Pets. Today we read a classic "The Poky Little Puppy". That talks about 5 little dogs that do not listen, but in the end finally makes a good choice after many nights of getting in trouble. I felt this was a good book for a few of the happy hippo kids lately. :) We also continued to write the number 9 today and learn the new sight word: they.

Teacher Appreciation Week

The teachers have been spoiled this week by you amazing parents, Michelle and Amy. On Tuesday Aiden's parents brought in donuts for the kids to enjoy! As you can see below they were a hit! Also on Tuesday many of the parents brought in treats for the staff to enjoy. There was more then we could possibly eat. THANK YOU!
This morning was Muffins with Mom. Thank you to all the moms and grandma's who were able to join us for muffins this morning! We had a great turn out. 

Mother's Day Week

This week I will post pictures of the kids enjoying our Mother's Day theme centers. However since the crafts and gifts are a surprise- You will not be seeing any of those :)

We finished our Jungle week learning about Elephants. The kids made elephant mask for art today.
