Picnic in the Park

Great weather. Great kids. Great parents. Thank you to everyone who came today to enjoy our end of the year picnic in the park. It was a great day!!!

Miss Mandy's last visit :(

Today was our last visit with Miss Mandy. It was a very sad day for all of us. We bought her a gift of thanks for all she has shared with us this year. We will miss seeing her and having her around! Her story today was about an ungrateful tree who was jealous of the stars in the sky. So God had given him leaves and apples but they were not what he wanted. When the wind blew the apples and leaves left the tree empty. However an apple broke in two when it fell to the ground. Inside the tree saw that there was a star inside the center of the apple. With us giving her a gift today she was very grateful and her story was a perfect example that some people get gifts they do not want, but they should always be grateful for what they are given.

Crabs!

This week we are talking about Ocean Life. Our sight word this week is: out. For art we painted and made crabs. For writing this week we are doing number activity sheets. Today the kids had to cut out numbers and glue them in order where they were missing. 

Hamsters

To end our Pet week we made Hamsters, using our hand prints. For centers we had a Free Friday. The kids got to pick the educational toys they rotated around.

Little birdies!!

Today we made Bird mask for art. Our books today were "My Pet business" and "I want a Pet". The question of the day today was: What Pet would you choose if you were able to take any home? Most of the kids picked a dog, 1 kid picked a cat and 2 picked a bird.
