The Human Brain

This week we are learning about the human body. Today we focused on the brain. We talked about each section of the brain and what it does. We also talked about the nerve system and spinal cord. If your child tells you there is a helmet in their head I apologize. I was talking to them about the skull and one of the kids said it was like a helmet and apparently that is all they remembered because when they were explaining the brain to another teacher they kept also talking about their helmet. :)

Good-bye's are so hard!

Today was a fun day. We followed our daily schedule but changed it up a little. For centers the kids pretty much got to pick anything they wanted to play with. All ten of them, ended up playing together and just enjoying their company. We also went back through some of the old songs we have learned this year and enjoyed singing them again. It was a fun day!

Graduation Week

Well it is a short week and it is also Graduation Week. I can not believe the year is coming to an end. It flew by. I am not looking forward to saying good bye to a few kids this week and even more next week. So to end on a fun note. We are switching up centers each day and doing fun graduation craft projects this week. We are enjoying what little time we have left as a Happy Hippo class.
