Apple trees!!

Today we continued our letter A and Apple/Autumn week. For art we made colorful autumn trees with our fingerprints! Everday we are coming up with new "A" words. Since it was a rain day we stayed inside and worked off our energy with JustDance videos!

Super Hero Apples!

Today to continued our letter A and Apple week we made Super Hero Apples. The kids were supplied with the pieces and had to put them together using instructions. They all are unique but still look super cool. Yesterday we struggled to make a list of words that start with the letter A. Today the kids did a much better job coming up with words!! We have been learning a fingerplay called "5 Little Apples." Today is only day 2 and the kids have picked it up so well. (they know it better then I do)

A for Avery.. Happy Birthday!

This week we are talking about Autumn and Apples. We are practicing writing the upper and Lower case A. Learning the A's sound, sign language and making a list of words that start with A. Our shape this week it circle. We also made a long list of objects we see every day that are the circle shape. On the Creation Kids facebook page you may have seen information about a little girl Avery who has cancer. Her birthday is coming up and the Happy Hippo class today made birthday cards for her. A for Aery was our theme today.
