We are the Dinosaurs

This week we are learning about Dinosaurs. This is one of our most popular themes we do each year. Today for art we made Triceratop mask. We learned Triceratops get their name because they have  3 horns on their head and they are herbivores. Our sight words this week are: (go, see) and our ryming word is: hop.

 

 

Yes or No! Opposites

Today we practiced writing our sight word "in" and did another activity worksheet for opposites. For a game today, the kids were paired up in teams of two and they had to give a list of reasons they were opposites to the class. Examples: (girl, boy  tall, short  long hair, short hair)

Color day....RED

Today we practiced our cutting during our opposite worksheet activity. We are also learning the sight words: (it, in) this week. The kids are doing great sounding out the letters. We also review last weeks sight words: (is, and).

 

Opposites

This week we are talking about "Opposites". Today we played our own version of "Simon Says" using opposite words. Our letter O list grew a great deal today. Thank you to the families who helped us out and brought in a few list today.
