School Bus

To end our Transportation week we talked about School bus safety and how important a school bus is to get kids to and from school. For art we colored a school bus and everything it needs then we cut out the wheels, stop sign, drivers window and side windows. To finish them they had to glue all the objects in the correct place. It was a long process but it gave the kids a chance to use all their motor skills.

Things that Fly

Today we talked about "Things that Fly". We made a list of all transportation that fly around in the sky. For art the kids colored a helicopter, then cut it out and picked out a colored stick for the propeller. Then using blue paper glued it to the sky.
We also continued to work on tying shoes laces. Also this week our sight words are: at, boy and we have been writing the numbers 4 & 5.

Trains!

Yesterday and today we talked about Trains. We learned how trains can be used to haul logs, animals, people and products.

God is always there to help us!

Miss Mandy came to visit today. She talked to us about never giving up or feeling frustrated when something is not going the way you want it. She also told the kids that if they keep trying, God will be there to always help them.

Brayden is the Star Student

Brayden is our Star Student this week. Today he enjoyed bringing in his pictures and Dinosaur to show his friends.

Red Light, Green Light

This week we are learning about Transportation. Each day we will learn a little about cars/trucks, trains, airplanes, boats and today Stop Lights. We talked about the importance of Traffic light and what each color means. We played Red Light, Green Light for fun today and for art the kids had to cut out a yellow, green and red circle. Then place them in order from top to bottom and write Stop, Slow and Go on each one. This week each child will also have a one-on-one with me to learn how to tie their shoes. Some kids may get it and some kids may not. That is completely fine. It is a chance for me to sit down with each child and at least try.
