Ocean Week

This week are learning about the Ocean. This has been one of the kids favorite themes. We talk about sharks, killer whales, crabs, sting rays, jellyfish, coral reefs, etc.. So many things that are dangerous and exciting! Some of our friends have also brought in some of their own seashells to share with the class. There have been small ones and very large cool ones! Thank you to the parents for hauling them in. 

Nice weather

The past few mornings have been warm enough for us to go outside and play instead of staying in the big room. When it is just the Happy Hippos outside we are able to go over to the big kids playground and play. 

Hat Day

Friday was hat day. The kids could wear their favorite hat. We had many different styles. 

Transportation

This week we are learning about transportation. For centers we are playing with cars, trains, airplanes, and magnets. We are also working on tying your own shoes. It has been a very stressful process for everyone. But so far no one is giving up!!

Picnic in the Park

Yesterday we had our annual picnic in the park. Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us and make the day special!!! We enjoyed the "long" walk to the park. When we got there we had most of the park to ourselves so we played on the playground and the went to the ball diamond and started a game of kick ball. We had to take many water breaks, but we will not complain because the 82 degree weather was much nicer then it has been lately. All the kids enjoyed eating at the picnic tables and being outside. By the time we got back to Creation Kids everyone was ready for nap!!
