Beach day

Today was our last day talking about Summer this week. For art we did more of a creative art project. The kids had a beach on their paper and they had to draw their idea of a perfect beach setting. They all turned out great, but a few were beyond awesome and very detailed!! We also added a crab using each childs handprint.

Ice Cream

Today for our summer theme we talked about all the options we have to cool down with water on hot days. We made a very long list (ex. slip n slide, pools, water fights and water balloons. The list seemed to be endless). For art the kids practiced their cutting skills and decorated ice cream sundae's.

Summer

This week we are talking about Summer. Even though the first day of summer was last week, we did not have time to learn about the season last week with everything else going on. So today we made a list of our favorite summer activites and made a cute lemonade craft for art. We are also continuing with the number 16 this week since we only had one classroom day last week.
