Ice Cream

Yesterday we made Homemade Ice Cream. We put milk, vanilla and honey in a small ziplock bag and then filled a larger ziplock bag with ice and ice cream salt. The kids had to shake their bags for 10 minutes to turn the liquid into Ice Cream. After one minute each kid complained that their arms hurt from shaking. I told them they had to do the work in order to earn the reward of eating the ice cream. Each of them was able to stick with it and make ice cream in their bags. A few of the kids loved it and ate the whole bowl. The others compared the flavor to McDonalds and informed me the ones we made were not as good. :) here are a few pictures of the kids shaking their bags.
