A person is a person, no matter how small!!

Today we read two books by Dr. Seuss. "Horton hears a Who" and "I Can Read with My Eyes Shut". For art we made Horton the elephant using our handprints and the glover that held the people of Whoville, using our thumbprint. The elephant kept telling people that "A person is a person no matter how small they are." That was our quote for the day.

Sweet Feet Yoga

There was nothing "calm" about yoga today. The lady had the kids pretending to be airplanes, boats, animals and doing slow/fast races in circle. It was loud and crazy! At the end she did play some quiet music to calm them down but most of the kids just thought it was funny and silly. :) The kids had a fun time and it was nice to have a different indoor activity with the cold weather.

One fish, two fish.....

Cat in the Hat!

For the next two weeks we are talking about Dr. Seuss and all the great books he has wrote. Today we read Cat in the Hat. Our question of the day was "Which Character did you like most in the book" The Cat- who made sad choices, but then cleaned up his mess. The fish- who was the bossy one and kept trying to kick the cat out. Or Thing 1 and Thing 2 who ran around the house with kites and destoryed things. Seven of the kids picked fish. Four picked Cat and 1 picked Thing 1 and Thing 2. :) For art we made Cat in the Hat mask.
