Turtles!
Today we talked about turtles and how they are in the reptile family. We also talked about how they are cold blooded animals. For art we painted turtles. Then we talked about frogs and how they are amphibians. We watched a video how the cycle of a frog works. They are hathced from an egg, when they are born they are called tadpoles. After a short time they start to grow front legs and then back legs. In this time their tail gets shorter and shorter until it is no long there. The kids were amazed by this process. A few of them even started a conversation about what it would be like if they were born with a tail and then slowly grew legs and arms. This made for a very entertaining demonstration of 11 kids flopping around the classroom. :)
